This collection of short stories aims for the heart of those questions. The quiet owners of a lonely house answer a knock on their door one night and engage with a man with a frightful story. There is someone coming for him, he says, who wants to slaughter them all. Reluctant sisters find terror on the road at night from a strong force they cannot see. The Psychiatric Department’s expensive cameras, newly outfitted in each room, catches a disgusting scene--a young woman on observation spews thick, red, blood. As the dreadful events unfold, they understand that the blood is not hers. Finally, a woman who is trying to survive finds that she must face the cold inside.

These are cold, dark stories for the cold, dark winter.
